All newly approved carers, as soon after approval as possible. All other carers who need an update on policy, practice and research.


By the end of the course, participants should be able to:


• Define the reasons for recording and reporting


• List different types of records that they should keep


• Demonstrate an ability in using recording and reporting methods appropriately


• Recognise and select suitable methods for recording and storing records safely
