Code: PCC/21/266 First Aid Refresher for Passenger Assistants

The HSE strongly recommends that first aiders undertake annual refresher training within any three year certification period of First Aid at work or Emergency First Aid at work. This is not mandatory.

This course is not suitable for first aiders whose certificate has expired or is nearing expiry.

This is a bespoke session for School Passenger Assistants. Please do not book on this course.

Code: PCC/21/172 Transferring from one seated position to another - practical workshop

This is a 3hr workshop giving opportunity for staff to practice transferring a person from one seated position: 

  • independently with verbal prompting
  • with physical assistance using a variety of standing aids
  • with an active hoist
  • with a passive hoist

 

It is aimed at Local Back Care Links to enable them to observe and competency staff practice.

It is also aimed at staff who are struggling to practise safeley and require more in depth training
