Course description

This course will provide an introduction to SystmOne for staff in Adult Social Care at PCC and related services.

Part 1 is intended for all new SystmOne users.
The session is delivered as a guided series of practical exercises using a training database that mirrors the live system, and will provide an overview of SystmOne for social care, suitable for all users.

Training objectives

During the course you will

  • View an overview of SystmOne, the Spine and record sharing

  • Log in, navigate and exit SystmOne

  • Search for client records using best practice

  • Navigate client records

  • View the client record details

  • Add Progress Notes

  • View files attached to client records

  • View client Services recorded in ControCC

  • Access the Springboards

  • Update client contact details

  • Add a textual relationship for a client

  • Record Keysafe details

  • Record Commuications needs

  • Send a letter using the blank letter template

  • Attach a word document to the client record

  • Mark an item in error, and view the deleted items list

  • Log out safely

  • Log into, Search and Navigate AIS

  • Find and view case notes and archived documents in AIS



Learning outcomes

By the end of the course you will be able to search and navigate SystmOne and perform essential tasks with a client record.

You will also have learnt about the basic SystmOne architecture: how the ASC Unit interacts with other organisations using SystmOne on the Spine according to data sharing preferences of the client.

Course guides and information will be made available before the course via the Intranet (search for "SystmOne"). Though excercises will be provided on the day we encourage you to print a copy and bring them with you.
